RollHard: The Show 2017

Date: 13 August 2017

Location: Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree, Essex

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

When you’ve got an idyllic venue in the Essex countryside, tied with an incredible selection of show cars, it was no surprise that RollHard’s first show at Cressing Temple Barns was going to be a huge hit. However, I’m not sure anyone, including RH themselves, were under the impression that 2017’s show would be so popular that they’d have to close the gates half way through the day because it was so busy. To outgrow a venue in year two of an event is quite something, so props to them. Of course, this led to some nightmare traffic and parking situations for some people – but what do you expect when more people than they had anticipated turn up? (I think the majority of show-goers that turned up on time were okay, though). The quality of cars on display at this year’s show was something else and right up there in terms of quality and pure variation. There was also an impressive turnout of Europeans who decided to make the trip over – it’s always cool to see cars we don’t see often! If you’re an avid reader of Slam Sanctuary, you’ll know we’re big fans of classics cars… well, RollHard 2017 was an absolute haven for them. Anyway, I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking… Sit back and enjoy.

RollHard have got this selection process down to a t. As you’ve seen, the cars were certainly special… Loads of marques with room for all styles and tastes. Personally, I hope that they stick with this venue in the future, if it’s a possibility. Cressing Temple Barns is one of the most laid-back, beautiful, and quirky locations for a static car show. I love all the different areas, some secluded, and some wide open – plus the historic barns themselves. It makes walking around a static show that extra bit more enjoyable and special. There was also a great variety of trade stands, with plenty of ice cream and food & drink establishments to keep everyone happy (although I was gutted that there was no jerk chicken this time around, sort it out guys!). I’m looking forward to seeing what RollHard do with future UK events, I’m sure they’ve had plenty to learn from this year. It can only get better!

Ultimate Dubs 2017

Date: 11/12 March 2017

Location: Telford International Centre, Shropshire

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

It’s been a long, drawn out, winter for us at Slam Sanctuary. So, we were fully stoked to finally arrive at Ultimate Dubs in Telford last weekend for the ‘show season’ opener. Hosted over a Saturday evening and all day Sunday, it’s a great chance for friends to catch-up after being busy with their normal lives… With the majority of people staying overnight, there’s plenty of time for social gatherings, whether it’s over cars, food, or beers – unless you’re too busy setting up and running a stand, like us, unfortunately! That’s because we’ve been sitting on the brand new Spring ’17 clothing collection for a couple of months waiting to drop it on you all at Ultimate Dubs. Well, it went down an absolute treat – we can’t thank everyone enough for almost clearing out the whole store. In fact, we’ve already had to restock a lot of items, which should be available through our online store in a few weeks time. We also supported our good friends at Distinct Detail Co. with debuting their new brand of boutique car care products on our booth – they’re definitely a company to watch!

This year we displayed Ben Rye’s ’57 Beetle (which we recently featured), Jack Royston’s incredible Type 3 Notchback, and of course, (with us being us) we had to have a BMW on the booth… in the form of Jack Williams’ E28, which was finished just a couple of days prior! I’ll let the photographs do the rest, sit back and enjoy…

Yeah, yeah, I know… It didn’t seem like much of a ‘Dubs’ show, but let’s face it, that argument is getting old now. Times are changing, and there just aren’t as many people building Volkswagens anymore, or at least there aren’t many stand-out builds. Ultimate Dubs is much more of a trade exhibition these days, and if companies are building BMWs, Mercs, and Jap cars, then that’s what you’re going to see. We still did our best to showcase some of our favourite VAG examples, though – but we’re always going to photograph what captures our attention and what we feel is ‘cool’. We hope you all had a fantastic weekend if you attended, and you’ll be glad to hear that our next event will be entirely Volkswagen based, as we’re heading to The Volksworld Show on the 25/26th March!

RollHard: The Show 2016

Date: 14 August 2016

Location: Cressing Temple Barns, Essex

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

Established back in 2010, RollHard is now one of the most recognised groups in the modified car scene… They choose to focus on the sense of community that comes with the lifestyle of a petrolhead, “All makes, all models, one community” as they state, which I absolutely love. It’s not hard to work out why so many car enthusiasts choose to be a part of RH and of course rock the stickers on their cars. Let’s face it, if you’re into cars, you’ve heard of RollHard. They’re everywhere, and even have a huge following over in Europe. Having previously held a few events (RollHard Duxford back in 2013, The Belgian Chapter in 2014 and 2015, and their Charity event also in 2015), a new idea was brought to life this year after discovering an absolute gem of a location in Essex – the Cressing Temple Barns. Imagine a beautiful, scenic venue in the remote countryside, featuring 13th Century Medieval barns, outbuildings, gardens, and paddocks. Not your usual recipe for a car show, but that’s what made this one just that extra bit special. With plenty of nooks and crannies throughout the venue, cars were dotted all over the place, which made it more fun to explore than say, strolling past rows upon rows of cars like at other shows. Usually, I’m not the biggest fan of car events on grass, but the quirkiness of this venue definitely made up for it. So, sit back and check out the highlights below…

RollHard: The Show was certainly one of the more unique car events on the calendar. With plenty of gorgeous cars to look at, gardens to explore, their own cinema, badminton (yep!), on-site tea rooms with ice cream and refreshments, as well as some very tasty food stalls (which makes a nice change!), it made for the perfect day out. For their first event at this venue, I think they did a fantastic job. Here’s to the next one – thanks for having us!

Ultimate Dubs 2016

Date: 12/13 March 2016

Location: Telford International Centre, Telford

Words & Photos by Henry Phull / Additional Photos by Steph Clarke

It’s been a long time coming, but show season has finally returned for 2016, kicking things off last weekend in Telford at the one and only Ultimate Dubs. To most of us this is the big show to start the year with – a perfect opportunity to show off the new builds and projects which have been hidden away during the cold Winter months. With that in mind, there was pure excitement in the air – we’ve all been away from the car community for a a few months which seemed like forever. Not have we been away from the cars, but friends too – so UD is the perfect reunion! Plus, following our success at Ultimate Stance back in November, we decided to bring back our Pop-Up Store for this show, with plans to hit a lot more events throughout the year – so keep your eyes out for us. As hectic as it is trading at a busy show like Ultimate Dubs, we still managed to get some time in for the all-important photographs. So sit back, grab a cuppa, and enjoy what the modified car scene has to offer so far…

Our pop-up store all ready for trading!

VAGROOTS at Ace Cafe – September 2015

Date: 13 September 2015

Location: Ace Cafe, London

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

If you follow the V.A.G. scene, you’ve probably heard of VAGROOTS, their events tend to take place quite frequently, meaning they’ve already made quite a name for themselves. Unfortunately I’ve never been able to make any of them… until now. I finally managed to get myself up to London for their latest meet, held at the historic Ace Cafe in London.. This time in partnership with RollHard, it was a charity style event to raise money for one of the founders’ daughters (click here to donate!) so there were a few RollHard cars on display, in addition to the expected V.A.G. selection, plus a few surprise BMW’s & Mercedes’. I’ve said it before, but sometimes these little get-together’s can be more enjoyable than full-on car shows. Relaxed, and you can come and go as you please and grab some good grub from the cafe. Check out my highlights:

Marc Jarvis’ Mk7 Golf GTI on AccuAir suspension & VIP Modular Concave VX210’s

James Manners’ Audi RS4 B5 on Air Lift suspension & Rotiform LVS’s

Steven Doe’s BMW E21 316 on Air Lift suspension & CCW D110’s

(Click here to check out our feature on Steven’s E21)

Adam Coster’s BMW E36 on Air Lift suspension & Brock B1’s

I was impressed with VAGROOTS’ event, well organised and there was a super friendly vibe to it – a perfect Sunday afternoon out. Plus, bumping in to friends is always an added bonus! Make sure you give VAGROOTS a follow to keep up-to-date on their upcoming events – they’re definitely worth checking out.

The Car Show Collective’s ‘Show of Shows’ 2015

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

Jack Williams first introduced himself to me back in September last year at Players Show, I had heard of his project ‘The Car Show Collective’ and what it was about.. his vision was simple – to provide an online calendar for car shows throughout the UK. It’s the place to go to see what’s happening in the means of automotive events, and I’ve always thought it was a great idea and much needed within the community to keep track of things. In less than a year, Jack and his family have gained a pretty big following, so when he messaged me to let me know he was already planning his own show, I was super stoked! Like myself, Jack is usually at a car show every weekend. He knows what works, and what doesn’t work – so I had full trust in him to organise something awesome and welcoming to everyone. Named the ‘Show of Shows’, the idea was to create a car show that allowed other car shows to exhibit their shows in one place, at the same time, along with a show and shine, trade stands and food & drink stalls. With the support from Gumball 3000, FittedUK, Low Collective, SS Autowerks, Fueltopia, Wheel Whores and many more, it was looking to be a great turnout.

Of course, with a debut show you never know what to expect.. But from a handful of images circulated throughout social media, the venue itself looked incredible. They managed to secure the grounds of Penshurst Place in Tonbridge, nestled in the Kent countryside, so I knew it was going to look idyllic. As soon as I pulled up into the public car park I was instantly blown away by the location, more so than I expected. A quick glance at the cars and it was clear that there was a wide variation of vehicles on display. If you’re into cars, no matter what sort, you would’ve found at least a handful of cars you’d of liked.

Anyway, let’s get into it with my highlights from the day, and start off with cars entered into the Show and Shine. Beginning with Laurence Turner’s BMW 1600-02, it was such a gorgeous example of this rare vintage beauty. It even had a rear Louvre which I don’t think I’ve even seen on one of these before.

A couple of cars down, and I stumbled upon a Plymouth Roadrunner in fantastic condition. See what I mean about variation…

Let’s not forget a bit of Japanese stance, with Fyse’s static Honda Integra DC2 on a set of CCW LM20’s

I’m glad I finally captured a head-on shot of Joey Hazell’s BMW E36 ‘vert on hydraulics.

Two bagged BMW’s is always an awesome sight on low-cut grass.. Check out Matt Clifford’s 840ci along with Joshua Hay’s E92.

Rory Hamilton’s Mercedes-Benz W115 240D has made it into a lot of our write ups recently, but this was the first time I genuinely had a chance to take a proper look around it, and it’s certainly impressive. Those gold centred BBS Mahle’s really pull the car together, and you may notice some newly added twin chrome exhaust pipes.

I still love the Zender Phase 2 Turbos / fans on Abi Clarke’s Polo Coupe, which is is also rocking CBR600 bike carbs.

The WatercooledIND MD1’s suit Connor Smith’s bagged B7 Avant so well, something a bit different to the norm.

What a duo, Michael Ralph’s Mk4 R32 and David Sanders’ Mk5 Edition30 bagged Golfs laid out on the grass.

This is a car that I shot frequently last year, Tallis Godfrey’s bagged E36 M3 Evo ‘vert. Amazingly, this is the first outing I finally caught him at so far in 2015, and it’s now sitting on a rare set of OZ Executive splits.

Harpal Choda rocked up in his Mercedes-Benz 190E Limited Edition, running Air Lift suspension with AccuAir management, and a stunning set of AMG split rims which totally transform the car.

One of my favourite E30 M3’s has to be Tej’s Santorini Blue example on ACS, a classic choice.

Gold CCW’s are a match made in heaven on Ian Linthwaite’s Jetta, bagged by the guys at Plush Automotive.

In addition to the Show & Shine, there was a nice mixture of trade stands positioned around the venue. Our friends at Wheel Whores had lots of U.S. muscle on display, plus a rather murdered out Ford GT owned by Lee Fulford. So much want!

Only Charged Dubs had Joe Yip’s Mk6 Golf on display, showing off one of their stunning boot installs in addition to some beautifully stepped up BBS RS’s.

Opposite, I loved Danny Mellor’s B8 A4 on Vossen VLE1’s. Check out the install on this one, including the air tank fixed to the top of the boot.

Moving on to the FittedUK stand, Jake Hilling’s 1965 Beetle on Air Lift was looking picturesque in this setting.

Matt Clifford moved his E31 840ci a bit closer so we could get a better look.. Now running 19″ Rotiform LHR’s with gold centres to compliment the velvet blue paintwork, he’s also just had a full stainless steel exhaust fitted by Torqueflow to finally make the most of that 4.4L V8, and it sounds awesome.

The yellow wheels on Lee Patterson’s Mercedes CLS55 AMG tie in nicely with the FittedUK branding, don’t you think?

I really have a soft spot for a good Mk2 and Chloe Crew’s example looks the business.. running Air Lift bags it now sits perfectly on gold centred (yes, more gold!) Schmidt TH Line’s.

Right in the middle of the show field there was a bowl full of Lowriders to make the afternoon even more interesting…

It was awesome to catch up with SS Autowerks, who were out in force with their trade stand and Alex Wrights static E36 on super wide ACS’s and overfenders. We’ll be taking a closer look at this car very soon.

Christian Chapman also had his aero kitted Mk5 Golf on display, this is all amounts of crazy – just what I expect from SS Autowerks!

More show stands included Fueltopia and Shining Monkey UK…

Plush Automotive’s 700hp RS6, on AccuAir and HP Drivetech suspension and ADV1 wheels is everything you could want from an Audi Avant.

Matty Loveridge’s Mk1 Swallowtail (that I shot back at Early Edition) looked mezmerising laid out on the Low Collective stand. The new additions of Compomotive Turbo’s and Air Lift suspension put this car at the top of my wishlist.

Jon Lott’s custom built Porsche 911 GTH was getting a lot of attention, which is no surprise.. just look at all the details on this stunning build.. Those widened arches and Fuchs make this car menacing, along with an eye-catching Aero Green paint job and beautiful yet contrasting purple interior re-trim to finish it off.

Sam Wookey’s Polo is certainly one of the nicest Mk1’s out there at the moment. An incredible amount of attention to detail can be seen throughout this build, check out that bay for starters!

Over on the RollHard stand, ‘Bricky’ the Volvo was holding down the fort as per usual!

Samuel Torr’s bagged VW Polo GTI looked tidy on Alfa Romeo wheels, and shows that splits aren’t always needed!

Thom Williams is currently winning at the fitment game with his bagged BMW E46 on widened BBS RF’s. It looks so mean from the front and rear.

Our friends from LikeHell Design were also parked up with RollHard, Jordan O’Sullivan’s Mini Cooper S on Carline CM6’s.

And Josh Mussell’s static Nissan 350Z on WORK Meister wheels.

Chris Phillip’s static Lexus IS still blows me away, I’m still unsure how he drives it anywhere, but it does look incredible on those stepped-up BBS RS’s.

I love that we are finally seeing more and more Japanese cars in UK ‘stance’ culture, like Martin Picker’s Lexus LS400 running custom bags, Air Lift V2 and Cosmis Racing XT-206R wheels.

Continuing the Jap trend, here’s Nath Howell’s bagged Subaru Impreza that I snapped recently at Early Edition. He’s certainly been turning a lot of heads recently with this beast, finished off with a set of wide WORK Meister’s.

Prestige had Simon Wilkinson’s awesome Volksrod on display.

This little Trabant was cruising about all day and breaking necks, such a cool sight!

Kristin Grayson’s bagged Astra GTC on 3SDM’s was sat over on the Formula Clean stand – nice to see people modifying cars we’re not used to seeing.

Towards the end of the day, the Show & Shine winners were driven through the show ground and lined up ready to collect their prizes from the stage.

The Gütenstance guys decided to collect their prize for best Clubstand together!

Whilst most were watching the prize giving, it gave me another chance to photograph some more cars without distractions… Check out Neville D’mello’s clean E30 M3.

Shaun Grazette’s bagged BMW E92 335i on Blitz Technospeeds.

I finally had the chance to look over Alex McKenzie’s little Lupo, I’ll try and capture the boot build next time!

It had been a while since I saw this one, HTS Motorport’s bagged E30 Touring featuring an M52 engine conversion and the recent addition of TH Line splits.

A lot of people I spoke to throughout the day mentioned one of their favourites being West Donovan’s E30 chromie on SSR Formula Mesh’s.

Finally, Matt Woodgate’s Imola Yellow B7 A4, looking classy as always.

Well, hopefully you enjoyed looking through my show highlights… But I’m sure you are wondering, how was the show itself? Was it successful? In my opinion, for a debut show, Jack and the team absolutely smashed it. Somehow they managed to nail that ‘chilled out’ vibe that everyone craves at a car show. In fact, this was the first big show I’ve been to recently in which I’ve managed to actually talk to people for more than five minutes. Plus, the turnout was pretty damn impressive. Of course it wasn’t completely full, and there were a few empty spaces – but this was to be expected. It’s certainly been a learning process for them but now they know what will and won’t work for next year, but I personally think it’s going to be huge! Congratulations again and thanks for having me down, Slam Sanctuary will be back next year for sure.

Ultimate Dubs 2015 – Part 2

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

In Part 1 of our coverage, we highlighted some awesome cars from outside the Telford International Centre for Ultimate Dubs. Let’s continue from where we left off, with Nick Sahota’s E30 M3. This car was one of the most talked about show cars of 2014. We often wondered.. what else could you possibly do to improve the car? Well, Nick has smashed it for this year, adding a set of BBS Motorsport Bugatti centre lock wheels, thanks to a costly conversion. They have totally transformed the car into something visually mesmerising, and far more appropriate. It also continues to be the most photogenic car, so roll on the photographs…

It’s always a pleasure to run into Dougie Flockhart’s PVW featured Mk3 VR6 Turbo on black centred BBS LMs. The attention to detail on this car is outstanding, even if it’s not to everyone’s taste!

Auto Finesse blow us away at every show, they put on the coolest and best quality display, hands down. Of course their Mk1 Caddy project was keeping everyone interested…

…But this year the guys have built something new to keep the Caddy company, nicknamed ‘Project 80s’, a Mk2 Golf with full BBS kit, E50s, and on Air Lift suspension. It was one our favourite cars of the show by a long mile.

Over on the Fueled Society stand, Matthew Richardson’s bagged Edition30 Mk5 Golf was sitting beautifully on a set of stepped up BBS RS with gold hardware and finished with red caps to match the car.

Another car that did it for us was Thomas Flanagan’s Mercedes W201 190 on custom wheels rebuilt from single to 3 piece, along with a stunning air install by Novak & Boden. A modern touch on a classic – an outstanding piece of work.

Also on the Fueled Society stand was Jack Bodenham’s Golf on an amazing set of gold Advan 3 spokes. We love these and don’t see them often, a nice choice.

Across the hall, Hayley Brzezinski’s static Dragon Green Mk3 Golf was looking good on a set of Corvette salad shooters over on the UKMK3s stand.

We also caught a peek of Owen Burnell’s bagged Mk3 wagon that we recently featured – click here to check out the feature!

You’ve probably already realised that Ultimate Dubs has now become about more than just VWs. Some people seem to have a problem with this. Our opinion is… there’s more to car culture than just Volkswagens, plus the show would be boring if most of these non-VAGs weren’t here.

Our friend Matt Clifford (yeah that video guy with the E31 8 series we featured) just had his new wheels delivered from Rotiform just in time for the show. Here it is in all it’s glory on the Obsessive Detail stand. The 19″ 9.5j and 10.5j LHR’s have certainly transformed an already incredible car.

Only Charged Dubs, a company we’ve recently been keeping a close eye on, were out in force with a huge stand to display some of their VAG air ride installs. Check out Josh Hall’s Mk6 Golf below on a colour coded set of Autostrada Modena splits.

Danny Mellor’s Audi A4 B8 has been through a bit of a change up since we last saw it at Ultimate Stance last year. 2015 brings a set of Vossen VLE-1s which really look the part against this car’s extraordinary paintwork.

Opposite we were drawn in by a badass Audi A5 owned by Mark Gunning, which sits on a huge set of VIP Modular VX210 wheels with SPF centres and chrome flat lips.

Moving on to the WORK Wheels UK stand, we bumped into Alex Flanagan’s E36 on Work Meisters and overfenders. It’s static, too. This is one intimidating car!

Alongside Alex’s E36, the Driftworks E90 M3 was on display, this sits on HSD coilovers and 19″ 10j & 11.5j Work Meisters in a black finish to complete the ‘Murdered out’ look.

Over the winter months, there are some cars in particular you keep seeing on Instagram and Facebook. One of those cars was Tom Heap’s Mercedes 300CE over on the SlammedUK stand. Rocking a Zender bodykit and 17×9/17×12 Impul R5s, it may remind you of the previous Merc he built about two years ago. Alas, there’s a colour and wheel change on the horizon soon!

Paige Walton’s (S6 Wraps) static BMW E91 Touring was certainly drawing in the crowds with a striking gold wrap, along with RH Crossline wheels in black with gold hardware to match.

Georgie Marlow’s Mk1 Golf was looking even shinier than usual, thanks to some recently ceramic polished BBS RMs – a fine job by the guys at Felgen Werkes.

Over to the LikeHell and RollHard stand, our friend Jamie Hitchcock was unveiling his BMW Z4’s new look, some gorgeous 18×9.5/18×10 Work Meisters. Oh, this is also static. Yeah…

One of our favourites back from Ultimate Stance last year was Jordan Fielding’s bagged Audi 100L on Gottis, so it was awesome to see this again.

Dale Buckley’s Audi TT alongside was spectacular with a fresh new colour and huge BBS RS’s, unsurprisingly this came in the Top 25.

One of our all time favourite Beetles, nicknamed ‘Macy’ and owned by Matt Rudd was on display over on the FittedUK stand. Not bad for a ’63!

We saw Vick Nagi’s bagged A4 Avant a few weeks ago at the Car Audio & Security ‘Caffeine and Cars’ event, when it was on the Audi Rotors which looked perfect. We didn’t actually think he’d be able to top that, but here it was, on Rotiform CENTRELOCKS. Well played, Vick!

That wraps it up for Part 2 of Ultimate Dubs 2015. As you can see, the quality of cars has continued to improve, so check back very soon for the final part of our weekend in Telford where we’ll be looking inside the final two show halls.

Ultimate Stance 2014 – Part 2

Words & Photos by Henry Phull

It’s getting closer and closer to Christmas whilst 2014’s show season is becoming a distant memory. Fear not, we’re back to bring you our next round up of Ultimate Stance, the season’s big finale. Previously in our first part, we took you through the first hall which was filled with some quite outstanding show cars, plus a few gems from of the outside area of the venue. So here’s the long awaited Part 2 of our coverage, where we’ll be finishing off with some more stunning vehicles from outside in addition to the second indoor hall at the Telford International Centre. There was certainly plenty to see, so sit down, grab a cuppa and enjoy…

It was tough luck for our friend Pete Dew, who unfortunately destroyed his sump just as he arrived at the venue… such a shame, as his E28 was looking incredible on a set of Rondell 0067 splits. Notice that big puddle around the car? Yeah, that’s definitely not water…

As you’ll be able to work out from the photographs, the weather was typically British and didn’t want to make it’s mind up, but we did receive a fair few rays on sunshine so we could capture Bruce Gowans’ spectacular bagged BMW M135i on WatercooledIND wheels.

It was nice (and different) to see someone modifying a 4-door E30, most prefer the coupe’s but it’s good to see the saloon’s getting some love too, Josh Cope’s example here sitting perfectly on 3-piece ACT rims.

IMG_272

There was an impressive lineup of Mini’s with Richard Davies’ Cooper S R56 being a highlight for us…

Not forgetting Marcus Creek’s notable example, completely static on a set of KW Turbos.

Sometimes the modern Volkswagen’s can be a little on the dreary side, but Dan Bentley has built his Polo GTI 6R so right. Sitting on bags, the fitment is spot on – a perfect marriage with those 17″ OZ Futuras.

It’s always a pleasure to catch up with our man Jamie Hitchcock and his silly low BMW Z4. There aren’t too many lowered examples about so this is awesome to see.

Two very cool silver static E36’s, Dom Cook’s coupe on OZ Fittipaldi with 10j rears, and Sam George’s saloon on a set of Autecs. Looking awe-inspiring parked up together like this.

So with the outside taken care of, let’s move back indoors into hall number two.

These two were a nice contrast to the hideous orange carpets, Haps’ incredible bagged Golf R32 on stepped-up BBS RFs, and Amar’s Polo rocking some 15″ polished Speedline Mistrals.

Let’s not forget Faz Ahmed’s super clean BMW E30 vert, complete with a gorgeous set of 17″ 7.5j & 8.5j Image splits.

Since adding the Hartge split rims, Prakash Thanky’s E21 has become one of our favourite car’s of 2014, a stunning overall example of one of BMW’s best shapes.

Another thing we love about Ultimate Dubs, and now Ultimate Stance, is the amount of trade stands in attendance. Auto Finesse were there in full force, with their project Caddy looking fantastic as per usual. Additionally, they had a live detailing session going on with a Mk2 Golf, which was awesome to see… and what a result!

They also had a sneaky addition from RollHard, Liam’s beautiful bagged Audi TT RS on Rotiform OZT splits.

Heading over to our friends at SlammedUK, they had a fantastic lineup of motors including Beau’s wrapped Audi A1 on Ispiri wheels.

Alongside, Dan Guirey’s Mk1 Golf with Wrigley’s livery, not very slammed – but an incredible car nonetheless!

One of our highlights back from Players show was Elmar Den Exter’s bagged BMW E28, so it was an absolute delight to see he had made the trip from the Netherlands again to show off his beautiful car, on AccuAir suspension and ACS splits. BMW perfection.

With E36’s ever so popular, it’s good to see more E46’s are now being put on air, the results are becoming quite spectacular.

Meet the breathtaking bagged Mercedes equivalent to Elmar’s BMW…

Moving across the hall to an incredible lineup on the RollHard stand, starting off with Aron Norris’ mean Mk2 Golf GTI.

The super high standard of cars continued with Joey’s E36 vert on hydraulics. Again he was rocking one side of the car with BBS RS, and the other with BBS RF as shown below, our personal favourite.

Jack Smith’s Mazda 3 sports some next-level fitment on a beautiful set of 18″ WatercooledIND CC10 wheels. We love the rear camber, insane!

Tom Shaw’s bagged MX5 was getting a lot of attention, with that crazy aero wing and RH Toplines with reverse mounted rear faces, oh and to top things off it’s on air.

Another bagged E46, this time a facelift example owned by Alex Hurd, we were loving the front splitter and amber corners.

Who doesn’t love a bit of Rotary action? Here in the form of Mike Clarke’s Mazda RX8!

We can’t forget the face of RollHard, Daniel’s Volvo 240 (aka Bricky), simply transformed with air ride and BBS RF wheels – which seem to work on absolutely anything! We love this wagon.

Are neons coming back into fashion? Michael Evans’ VIP Lexus LS430 was oozing class on 20″ Club Linea Sport 3piece wheels.

Andy King’s Honda Integra DC2 is a car we never tire of seeing, bagged on a set of gorgeous Gottis. It’s great to see Jap cars entering the stance scene, it goes to show that they can often work extremely well.

Continuing on with the Gotti theme is Jordan Fielding’s Audi 100L. This car blew us away, firstly being such a rare vehicle in the first place, on top of a fresh respray, insane fitment and immaculate interior, it has to be one of our favourite cars of Ultimate Stance.

With the other FourSeasons’ guys in between new projects, we found Thom on the RollHard stand holding down the fort with his bagged E46 – remember seeing this first at Ultimate Dubs at the beginning of the year back when it was static?

And if you thought the RollHard stand couldn’t get any better.. let us introduce you to Ben Anson’s breathtaking BMW E21, on air and Schmidt TH-Lines.

A majority of the time, simplicity is key. This is definitely the case with Adam King’s Audi A6. Bagged and on a set of 20″ Rotiform TMBs, the result is a seriously cool luxury car. Gotta love the hidden hardware on those TMBs, too. What more could you possibly want in something like this?

I think its safe to say most of us don’t often look twice at Corsa’s, well here’s our exception. Harry Wheatley has managed to make one look beautiful. Those custom 3piece Image Billet 61 splits totally compliment the car, which is bagged of course. Top marks!

Over at the Only Charged Dubs stand we were yet again blown away by Danny Mellor’s air assisted Audi A4 B8, on the new 3SDM 0.08 wheels which suit the car perfectly.

We especially liked Ultimate Stance because it was welcoming to all sorts of car enthusiasts and traders (more of which we’ll be seeing in Part 3) ie. people of different tastes, including the air-cooled scene, so it was awesome to see that our friends over at Hayburner magazine were in attendance.

That brings us to the end of part 2 of our coverage, with only two more halls remaining – which we’ll be looking at in our third and final chapter, online very soon. In the meantime keep your eyes peeled on the blog for more features and shop visits over the winter months, where we’re dedicated to supplying you with your automotive fix. Thanks for reading!
